This annual event offers visitors a living history timeline of military and civilian encampments. Activities include flag raising ceremonies, military demonstrations, a fashion show, games for children and an 1870s-era baseball game.

Confederate Memorial Day Ceremonies

April 28, 2018

Greenwood Cemetery, Phoenix, AZ

The ceremony to be held at Greenwood Cemetery will start at 9 AM; re-enactors should be there 8:45 AM. The cemetery is located at the northeast corner of Van Buren Avenue and I-17. Access is usually through the park

entrance on 27th Avenue.

After the ceremony at the cemetery, meet at Wesley Bolin Plaza east of the state capital at the monument to the Confederate Veterans, a short ceremony there starts at 10 AM.  

When that ceremony is complete, travel to the Phoenix Pioneer & Military Cemetery located at 14th Avenue and Jefferson Ave which is east of the Wesley Bolin Plaza.  The last ceremony starts at 11 AM.

Yuma Civil War Days: Living history with two re-enactment battles each day: 11:30 am and 3 pm on Saturday and 11:00 am and 1:30 pm on Sunday.

Moody’s Battery Cannon Live Fire

The Live Fire site is NW of Seeley CA which is due west of El Centro CA.

Imperial Valley Rifle and Pistol Association range at the intersection of Huff Road and Wheeler Road in sunny Imperial County.

Take I-8 out of El Centro to Drew Rd (Exit 107)

Go North to Evan Hewes Hwy

Turn West and go about 2 miles to Huff Rd.

Turn north and go 6.5 Miles to Wheeler Rd

Turn West and you will see the site off to the right.

There should be a large round circle drawn on the mountain that is our 600 yd target.

There will be a 10 pd Confederate Rifled Parrott and a 6 pound smooth bore.

We will be Confederates, "Moody's Battery"
